The Vladimir Publishing Company was founded on October 3, 2003 by Logan Bachmann and Aaron Dandrea, in order to publish the things they wrote. The "first age" of the VPC was characterized by "silly" stories and political messages. Many references were actually inside jokes, leading somereaders to ask, "what the hell?" This became, "What the sahel?" and was one of the biggest inside references. The "second age" began when Matthew Cochran became a vice president in the company in June 2007. Cochran was a writer whose style was more somber than the earlier authors. The VPC also underwent technological advances during this period, upgrading to a new website and adding a forum, known as the VPF. The Vladimir Publishing Company also made its first corporate acquisition with the purchase of the Amsti League. The Odenton Delta also began operation, the VPC's first newspaper. The "third age" began in May 2009, when the Vladimir Publishing Company expanded to include other publications and means of publication. The VPC soon launched two magazines and set up a division for radio and television.
