Casiocore is a genre of music characterized by its 80's synthesizer sound. Casiocore is produced by using an electronic keyboard voice from a synthesizer, as opposed to other voices such as guitars. Casiocore music is made up completely of this sound and occasionally percussion and vocals. The genre took its name from a project of the same name, which was made up completely of sounds made from Casio keyboards.
