After just over three years of operation, the Vladimir Publishing Network (VPN) ceased operation on June 2, 2010. "The administration decided that having a network forum was irrelevant," explained forum administrator Gunter Klein. The forum has gone through several stages. Upon its initial creation in January 2007, it was mainly a promotion and critique site for VPC stories. There was also a section for creative writing, which spawned mostly erotica from members. No one was really surprised. In March 2007, sections were added to discuss religion and politics, and by May, the entire forum was remodeled to a red-and-white template and renamed "The Religion Forum." Interest in TRF fizzled out, as people who were intolerant of other religions were banned. Unfortunately, they were the only people interested in discussing religions. By 2009, TRF was reverted to the VPN, with the only forum open being about network bugs Finally, on June 2, 2010, the forum was shut down and slated for deletion. Nothing of value was lost.
